Save Ocean

The Ocean Life illustrations are for a picture book intended to help raise public awareness of the problems and solutions of ocean pollution. The illustrations will be combined with a short story that will suggest ways for humans to keep our ocean clean and happy for everyone to enjoy.The illustrations depict a variety of sea life living with pollution. The pollution has been abstracted into colors, shapes, and patterns that flow throughout the compositions and surround the animals creating a very unnatural, abnormal and toxic environment. Unfortunately the ocean has been plagued by pollution from the numerous environmental mistakes humans have made in the past to our present day. Polluting the ocean has a direct negative impact on ocean life, human health, and the future of our earth. The illustrations are based on popular ocean life that are essential in a happy ecosystem; whales, turtles, jellyfish, cranes, plankton, seals, fish, crabs, sea urchins, and coral beds.

Magmo would like The Ocean Life Series to evolve into a variety of creative efforts intended to help our oceans, for example; fundraising, educational campaigns, gallery exhibits, and youth programs. Magmo is looking for publishers, environmental organizations, and/or sponsors who would be interested in collaborating and developing this project further. Woah woah woah…so haben wir uns das vorgestellt. Das Shirt around the world zieht weiter und bleibt in prominenter Gesellschaft. Kein geringerer als Dstrukt aka Chris Hewitt aka Buddy von Rob Chiu hat sich das Shirt fürs Wochenende geschnappt, sein Signature und einen Post mit Photo hinterlassen. Yiehaa!

About Dstrukt

Originally hailing from Manchester, Chris is a skilled motion designer, animator and art director. Inspired by movie titles and with a background in both online and traditional media, Chris began working under the name Dstrukt producing work for a number of high end clients including MTV Networks Europe, Channel 5, BBC, Vodafone, Discovery Channel and VH1.

Chris is also regularly featured in design and industry magazines, such as Computer Arts and IdN, and presents at design conferences around the world. As well as running Dstrukt and numerous personal projects, he co-founded the experimental film collective Devoid of Yesterday with Rob Chiu from The Ronin. Chris is passionate about photography, music and cinema and channels these influences into his glitchy, dark and edgy creations

Dstrukt is currently a fully active Motion Graphics studio catering in 3D, Compositing, Animation & Art Direction. Chris is also a key member of London based motion house Wyld Stallyons.

Die Jungs von Diziplin Clothing haben die Pforten ihres Brandstores geöffnet! Sie kommen aus Köln und haben euch was mitgebracht…

Vor ein paar Wochen hatten wir Besuch von Rik und Miller. Die beiden sind ein Teil von Faith21, haben uns ihre sehr geilen Styles vorgestellt und werden im April mit einem Brandstore bei ABT einziehen. Damals hatten sie uns von ihren Wurzeln, der Idee und dem Entstehen vom Faith21 erzählt. Da steckt sehr viel Spirit und Engagement dahinter und eine echte Geschichte. Faith21 macht viele Artist Specials sowohl bei ihren Klamotten als auch bei den Surboards. Einer dieser Artists ist AIKO. Gerade habe ich in seinem Blog ein paar Impressions gefunden. Faith21 supported Kinder in Südafrika, die surfen wollen mit Stuff und Equipment. Sehr geil!

Supporting kids from Cape Town who took up surfing but cannot afford the equipment.

Working together with Gary´s Surfschool in Muizenberg. Gary supports surf kids from the nearby townships since several years by letting them use school boards, picking them up and bringing them to the beach, and teaching them the basics. Some of those kids reached a competitive level and Faith21/Aiko will start to support those kids with surfboards and clothes and registration fees for competitions. The kids will receive sponsorship agreements and will be promoted worldwide.

A group of kids will be flown from Cape Town to Amsterdam to join the dutch Faith21 teamriders. From Amsterdam the group will travel for 2 weeks along the Dutch, French and Spanish coast to surf the best European spots. The dutch surfers will later fly to Cape Town and travel with the kids along the gardenroute to Jeffreys Bay. The trip ia going to be followed by a videographer and photographer and the story will be published in European and South African magazines to present the surfers to the media to give them the chance to present themselves to a wider audience and maybe find extra sponsors.

Gerade im Styledepartment entdeckt.

Man nehme die Wurzeln aus Skate- und Snowboarding, eine Priese derben Skatepunk, feinsten Zwirn dazu und verschmelze dies. So entstehen fette Druck- Stickkombos, kleine versteckte Taschen und jede Menge verliebter Details in einer Handvoll individueller Klamotten.

Shirt around the world geht in die nächste Runde…gestern an meinem Geburtstag hat Rob Chiu das Shirt bekommen und seinen Blogeintrag gemacht.
Sehr sehr geil Rob! Danke! In der Worldmap könnt ihr wie immer sehen wo sich das Shirt gerade befindet. Was auch noch geil ist…Chris Hewitt aka Dstrukt kommt Rob morgen in Huddersfield besuchen und wird seinen Otto auch noch auf dem Shirt hinterlassen bevor die Reise weitergeht…nämlich über den großen Teich…wie geil ist das denn?! Das Shirt fliegt dann straight nach Malibu in die Sonne zu Kyle Cooper.

Also wir können glaube ich jetzt schon sagen, dass die Aktion absolut gelungen ist. Richtig richtig geile Designer haben bis dato teilgenommen! Ich danke allen für ihre Mühe und den Support der Aktion! Wow! Bin geflashed. He he…
