Vor ein paar Wochen hatten wir Besuch von Rik und Miller. Die beiden sind ein Teil von Faith21, haben uns ihre sehr geilen Styles vorgestellt und werden im April mit einem Brandstore bei ABT einziehen. Damals hatten sie uns von ihren Wurzeln, der Idee und dem Entstehen vom Faith21 erzählt. Da steckt sehr viel Spirit und Engagement dahinter und eine echte Geschichte. Faith21 macht viele Artist Specials sowohl bei ihren Klamotten als auch bei den Surboards. Einer dieser Artists ist AIKO. Gerade habe ich in seinem Blog ein paar Impressions gefunden. Faith21 supported Kinder in Südafrika, die surfen wollen mit Stuff und Equipment. Sehr geil!

Supporting kids from Cape Town who took up surfing but cannot afford the equipment.

Working together with Gary´s Surfschool in Muizenberg. Gary supports surf kids from the nearby townships since several years by letting them use school boards, picking them up and bringing them to the beach, and teaching them the basics. Some of those kids reached a competitive level and Faith21/Aiko will start to support those kids with surfboards and clothes and registration fees for competitions. The kids will receive sponsorship agreements and will be promoted worldwide.

A group of kids will be flown from Cape Town to Amsterdam to join the dutch Faith21 teamriders. From Amsterdam the group will travel for 2 weeks along the Dutch, French and Spanish coast to surf the best European spots. The dutch surfers will later fly to Cape Town and travel with the kids along the gardenroute to Jeffreys Bay. The trip ia going to be followed by a videographer and photographer and the story will be published in European and South African magazines to present the surfers to the media to give them the chance to present themselves to a wider audience and maybe find extra sponsors.
