Hello Rudy. Just a short biography, please.
Hi! First I want to apologize for my bad english so if you don’t understand a word I’m really sorry;)
So I’m a 20years old French guy, born and living in Lyon.To describe quickly my studies, I passed my scientific baccalaureat 2 years ago before studying graphic design at La Martinière school. And what is the history behind the „Destroy that city jungle“ design?
I wanted to make something mixing type and illustration so I began drawing that ape with a kind of bomb into his head and I imagined what could be his story; he just had to destroy everything around him in order to find His better tomorrow, the rest is just a question of personnal interpretation. Where are you now located? Tell us about your current business and projects.
As I said in the first answer, I’m still studying in Lyon so I don’t think that we can talk about business because everything is still a project;).These days I’m spending a lot of hours trying to realize a big deer entirely made of cloth,covered with drawings and which will be about 3 meters tall. Well, what would you suggest to a newbie, who just start his or her career as a designer?
Not sure that I can suggest anything considering the fact that I am new in design but you just have to keep doing what you like. Who are your favorite designers and artists around the world? Why?
That’s a complicated thing to do because I like different things in art…I like graffiti artists such as Bom-K, Herbert Baglione,Dran, Brusk, Blu, San, 9eme concept…but I’m also fan of graphic designers as Antoine et Manuel, Non Format, Akroe, Krsn, Mario Hugo, Yokoland, Emmanuel Polanco and many others… What do you think about communities these days?
That’s a great concept, but it’s also very dangerous because you become quicly a communities addicted as I am;) Do you work on Mac or PC? Why did you choose this platform?
I work with a Macbook but I don’t want to talk about the Unix system or Post-Script, it would be very boring;)I’m kinding but there are many reasons to choose a Mac for a graphic designer. Do you play videogames?
I used to… What are your hobbies?
Drawing everytime, drinking a beer at the Capucins bar with my friends, searching nothing on the net, going to my favourites bands concerts, wearing a new shirt each day, finding good ideas in a sofa, travelling, playing saxophone one time in a year… What is THE place on earth you would like to visit?
I would like to go and visit places in America, especially Brazil, Argentina, Peru, but also Los Angeles or NYC. How many hours do you work, and what is stress for you?
I don’t really know because it depends on the projects I have to realize but a lot of hours considering school projects and personnal ones… Latest movie you liked?
“waltz with Bachir” What’s your favorite sites? Why?
Deezer, lots of teeshirt contest sites as ABT, fffound… Any plans for the Kmeleon in the future?
I wish I will have my exam this year and after I hope I will be somewhere else in the world (maybe in Great Britain, USA, Berlin…I don’t really know) to keep studying and meet other cultures… Thank you Guedj!!
